I am looking to make brownies that are edible for dogs. One ingredient is Carob powder. Anyone know where it can be found?. I did a search on-line for the grocery store I go to and all it came up with is some kind of dog treats. Not the Carob itself. I then did a google search and it came up with something people used to eat in the 60's. Hope it's not like an illicit drug :D

I found the recipe in Modern Dog magazine.

Try a health food store. I grew up on carob, because my brother is allergic to chocolate. It's not so bad when you get used to it. I know we went to a health food store with a juice bar, where you could buy freshly......squeezed? carrot juice. Yum-o.
