Hi! It is a seat booster, that can be used in front or in the back seat. It does have a short leash that can be attached to a harnes. Look up on Amazon, they also have a lot of reviews there. Look like an interesting thing...ofcourse, if getting in an accident, airbags can be a problem. How would it prevent them from jumping out? I've never heard of them. Is it like a car harness?
Although I've probably never heard of them because my little dog has no interest in behind any higher in the seat, he usually lays down anyway.
I saw a different one, that kind of hangs on the headrest and straps around. Italia also can be used in front or on the back seat. I do lite waching Charlie smiling when he rides in the front seat. But riding in the back is a smart way.http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3975659 We have this car seat for Molly & it's worked out pretty well. She seems to like it better than not being able to see out the windows at all. It's got two height settings so you can boost pup up higher if the lower setting is too low. The seat is secured by the car's seatbelt. The car seat has a metal clip that hooks onto her travel harness, which keeps the dog from jumping out, though I don't let her hang her head out the window b/c of the danger of debris injuring an eye and she only rides in the back seat so I don't worry about airbags: http://www.berganexperience.com/travelharness/index.htm
I tried that one & it seemed flimsy. Molly was also unhappy about sitting in what is essentially a box so I returned it and got the one I posted.I saw a different one, that kind of hangs on the headrest and straps around.
