I have a 2 month old Dalmation, he's extremely energetic.
But one thing I can't get him to control is his bite. For instance whenever I'm playing tug, he tries to go for my hand instead of the toy. And also whenever I try to pick him up when he's doing any of his favorite things like eating something off the ground in the backyard he tries to bite me.
I have already gone through the "Bite stops here" article. And he's getting better at controlling his bite while playing (but not completely yet).
How can I prevent such behavior? Or am I being impatient?
Thanks.

I have had hime for like 3 weeks now.
I dont have any problem while playing, its just when he's eating something in the backyard that he get aggresive and starts growling and nipping when I try to pick him up and take him away. And thats exactly what I want to avoid.

I think what happened is that he was separated from his littermates early as the stud was given half the pups maybe after before he they were 30-40 days old.
Should I start training him, he's just about 2 months old? Will it help him calm down?
