Decided to switch my pup to Canidae ALL life Stages Chicken, Turkey, Lamb, and Fish meal. Anyone else feeding this kibble? I’m transitioning with the Blue Wilderness I have left. He seems to really like it.

I got (too large) a bag for Bella a few months ago - it seemed to be the only good food that wasn't grain-free. Unfortunately we found out the hard way that lamb does NOT agree with her.
I like Canidae in general, though. I took her off of it years ago because I couldn't find it readily and had to keep changing to something different - this was before I found out about mail order food (thanks Chewy!)

She's been on a mixture of Canidae Pure Sea kibble with other brands/types of food (some beef and rabbit) and has been good so far!

Still on the hunt for legume-free food that isn't Ol' Roy or other junk :/
Thanks for the reply. Diarrhea from the Lamb?

There are some pretty decent brands out there with lines that use grains instead of legumes. Farmina Ancestral Grain (my personal favourite for my dog), Annamaet, some Dr. Tims foods, to name a few

Yes, rather horrific diarrhea from the lamb :( When I changed to the fish formula Canidae it cleared up pretty quickly.

Seems most of the good foods that have grains instead of legumes also has chicken as the main protein source...and of course she doesn't do well on chicken - not as bad as lamb! but not great. I got frustrated and stopped researching after an hour or so and stuck with the fish formula. I'll look at the brands you gave again see if I missed anything. :)

Don't wanna hijack the thread, though! :)

Victor Beef Meal and Brown Rice formula is legume-free, grain-inclusive and does not have chicken in it. It does have chicken fat but that doesn't seem to be as much an issue than the chicken meat itself.

The ocean fish formula does have peas but in fairly minimal contribution to the total protein. https://victorpetfood.com/products/ocean-fish-formula-salmon

Sportmix Wholesomes Fish meal formula has no legumes, is grain-inclusive, no chicken or lamb. It does have chicken fat and dried egg product. Downside is that its kinda low in protein. Good manufacturer though and their formulas tend to be easy on the stomach with simple ingredients.

Earthborn Ocean Fusion is also no legumes, grain-inclusive and no chicken or lamb. It does NOT have chicken fat or egg product. Kinda low in protein.

Well, transitioning to Fromm Puppy Gold. He was lacking something from the Canidae.
