We got him on Mothers Day from a shelter. He is 15 weeks, black with a brown undercoat. Very smart, loves to chew and mouth everything, and loves to herd my 7 year old around. What do you guys think?

Thanks guys. thats pretty much what I thought too, but i thought I saw a touch of doberman in there too, esp in the first pic.....

I may be out there ... but I see some sort of Collie in that long muzzle? :/ The shorter hair could be from Lab.

Lab/shepherd is my guess too.
I don't think that I see any doberman in that puppy.

German Shepherds? Shepherd? They're herders. Labs are retrievers. You'd get a lot of chase and herd out of that mix. Not saying there's no collie in there! Just. You don't need it to explain chasing and herding.

GSDs do exhibit herding behavior, though. My old dog could get obnoxious about it.

I forgot to mention his mom is a shepherd-so that part is for sure.
