He's definitely curlier than a lab, but doesn't look as curly as either of my boys did as pups (poodle and lagotto, both curly coated breeds). He might have something in between, more of a wavy coat or very loose curls. It's hard to say about the shedding, though, some poodle mixes do wind up shedding their undercoat like a non-curly dog and then having it get caught in their curls, causing a lot of matting that needs to be constantly managed. Either way, plan ahead and get him used to being combed/brushed/clipped early on, and if you want to use a groomer, find one early and start before he needs a full groom so it's less scary for him!
