Just make sure you follow the camp site rules. My uncle quit bringing his pit bulls to this camp we were at because the workers would make rude remarks about his dogs
Next year we are going to a different camp sight and they are more acceptable of pit bulls(and other large breed dogs). There was someone two sites down from me saying workers would stay away from her camp and if her dogs just barked once got in big trouble(while the people next to her had a little dog that barked non-stop and never got in trouble). She had 2 gsd's and a husky/malamute mix.

I take my two huskies camping with us all the time. They really seem to like it- plus the come home tired all the time
