Buying Meds online

742 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Sydneyx42
Zoey and me went to the vet today to pick up her first batch of Frontline and Heartgard. I got 7 months worth of the Heartgard, but decided on only the first month of Frontline, because I think I will probably be able to find it cheaper online. (If not then I guess I'll go back in a month ) Does anyone know of a good place to buy the meds online? I know to make sure they are "Made in France" and not somewhere else because of the strength of the drugs or something.. Also, if I wanted to buy the heartworm meds online do I need to go back to the vet and get something that says I have a prescription for it, or will the prescription info on the back of the box I have now work?

Thanks!

I just ordered my first online order of Heartguard & Frontline Plus. I got them through the Drs. Foster & Smith website. I ordered a catalog before hand, it came withing a week and with a $5 off my first order coupon! They also offered free ground shipping.

The Heartguard ended up being about $3/pill, whereas I get it from my vet for $6.30 a pill (they will not match online prices). The Frontline was about $5 cheaper per application through the web. It's expensive no matter what, I couldn't find a super good deal besides on EBay but I was too scared to get junk product from there.

There is a section in checkout where Drs. Foster & Smith will offer to get your script for you from your vet. You also have the option of faxing it to them or mailing it. I had them contact my vet directly and I received my order in about 7-8 days. Very happy with them and saved a lot of money!
