I have a theory that somehow putting pressure on the lead helps stimulate the bowls.
Hmm...dogs have bowls inside them? :p Just messing with you :D

Has anybody else experienced this? Its usually on our short (not going for a walk) bathroom breaks that Caeda does this. She has gotten pretty good on leash, minimum pulling, with the exception of the rare bolt after something particularly intriguing. Usually if she feels some pressure on the leash, regular leash, flexi or long line, she'll back off a bit. Time to go....NOPE. She HAS to poo "OVER THERE!!!", originally I was thinking ok, short leash, she doesn't want me standing directly over her when she does her business, so I tried our flexi (which is extra long), and no matter how far away she is, she wants to be an extra foot or two further and she paces back and forth frantically until she has no choice but to stop. She tries everything, head down pulling, bolting etc. but only pulls this bad when she needs to go.
Yep, I get that from Wally sometimes. It's even worse when he really does want to poop in another spot, but he usually poops where he is and I keep saying "go potty" and he keeps looking over at the area like "I WANT TO BUT YOU WON'T LET ME GO OVER THERE." and I'm like - "just poop here already, you did two days ago". And he's like "FINE, I'LL HOLD IT AND NOT POOP SO THERE!" and I'm like "fine with me. Vamanos!"

Bella does the SAME thing. Drives me batty. She has to squeeze herself under the lowest bush around.... leash becomes entangled in the bush since she must circle twenty times before picking the perfect place/position. Then she gets stuck because she's scared she's going to step in it if she comes back the same way....then it's a rescue mission before she freaks out. God forbid she have a dingle berry hanging from her tooshie! That's a whole new level of panic!
LOL when Wally gets one of those dingle berries, he keeps squatting like he's gotta poop LOL. At first, I was like WTF - he's pooping again? But nothing came out and the I just decided to check - and saw it.

The look of relief on his face though...you think I'd just killed a monster. Dogs.

A lot of the dogs I've worked with are TERRIFIED of dingle berries. They have fear etched across their faces as they poo walk across the yard, trying desperately to free themselves. Some are nice enough to thank me when I free them. Others run far, far away... Dogs.
LOL

That's exactly what Wally does! I should actually capture it - would be a fun parlor trick - or April Fool's joke. "My dog just has to go now." (Cue poop walk and walk him around) "April Fools!" :D

Though I guess it's not a joke if he actually does end up pooping!
