I have a 5 month Great Dane/Bullmastiff. She is such a sweetheart!! A little shy, but she sure can get rowdy sometimes 
. And her tail!! Man, that thing can be a lethal weapon sometimes! lol.
She is so gentle. Her best friend is my sister's 3 1/2 month old kitten. They love each other to death. But again, they'll play "chase" with each other and knock everything down in the house. And Harleigh (dog) thinks she is smaller than she actually is and she'll "paw" at her and knock her across the room.. It's quite funny. Harleigh sleeps in her crate and the kitten on a pillow right on top. I'm sure if we would let her she would sleep in there with her.
Speaking of Harleigh thinking she is small.. She also thinks she is a lap dog and tries to sit on anyone who will allow her to come near them.
She truly is a gentle giant!!
