This is Oliver. He's 3 years old, has somewhat a somewhat curly, mostly wavy coat. I get him a 'poodle haircut' because I like his face and feet clean. He weighs about 17 pounds and is leggy/lanky. Very quirky, sometimes neurotic. I wouldn't call him eager to please, but he does learn fast. High prey drive, high energy.

I'm planning on splurging on an Embark kit soon.

What do you think? The first pics are puppy pics, the rest are recent. I know it can be hard because of his haircuts, but this is just for fun :) I'll update this thread when I do have him DNA tested.

Oh, man. Poodle, of course, but here are some breeds I would probably guess:

1. Mini Schnauzer

2. Cocker Spaniel

3. Mini Aussie. That second to last photo, thats what I saw.

When he is in fuller coat he looks very typical of the Schnauzer/Poodle crosses I see. This is what I mainly see.. but he very easily could be a Poodle x whatever mix to a Schnauzer.

I know, it's incredibly hard to guess with him! He was from a puppymill originally before being dumped at a shelter, and was called a Pomapoo. I guess the problem is that most breeds mixed with poodle look pretty similar. But cockapoo and schnoodle are some of the most frequent guesses we get when out and about.

I agree, he does look a lot like a Schnauzer x Poodle with his hair longer. I've contemplated having him get the Schnauzer do from the groomer to see how it suits him, but I don't like the wet beard he gets with his hair longer. Maybe a modified, shorter beard would work.

I definitely see schnauzer with poodle as well. It is so neat that these DNA tests are now available for those that are anxious to know.

In the puppy pics I thought havanese but with the poodle face cut he has a long muzzle that kinda throws that off. Mysterydoodle.
