I brush my parent's SCWT's teeth once a week with a doggie toothbrush and paste. She went to the vet a week ago and he checked her teeth and said they were very clean and healthy with a tiny bit of tartar on one of the back molars. He also checked her gums and said they were healthy. However, I've noticed a little blood on the brush when brushing the right back side of her mouth. I can't see any inflammation or discoloration along the gumline, and she isn't bothered by it at all. This doesn't occur when brushing the front teeth or left side of her mouth. I'll call the vet again, but it seems mysterious since he just checked her mouth a few days ago. Any ideas in the meantime?

Does she chew on bones or toys? Which side of her mouth does she chew on?
