Our Lhasa Apso puppy will be 4 months old on Monday and for the last two days I've been seeing little spots of red showing up on her toys after she plays with them. I read that teething is supposed to start between 4 and 5 months old and end by 7 months but I don't know if it's normal for her gums to bleed? We haven't been playing any pulling games with her or anything, just fetch... She doesn't appear to be in any pain yet and is still eating fine and everything. (I read that she might not eat as much when her teeth hurt so we could add water to her food) So anyways, is the bleeding gums think ok?

Will she let you look in her mouth? When Savannah lost her baby teeth I noticed some blood on her chew bones. So I looked in her mouth and sure enough she had loose baby teeth. The one was so loose I just moved it with my finger and it came out. Baby teeth are sharper. Adult teeth are more blunt on the ends.

Yeah bleeding gums are normal.
My pup wouldn't slow down while eating with loose teeth..
One thing though, if he is still a chewer, don't wear any white clothes..hehee..
