Hello,

I'm new here. My name is Aron and my dog's name is Fua. Fua is 13 years old and was diagnosed with canine diabetes in November 2015. He's currently on 15 units of caninsulin every 12 hours. He seems to be doing fine.

I'm very worried because 7 days ago, he went in the trash and ate several cooked chicken bones. Since that time, I've noticed blood in his poo, and also a strong odour around his bottom that smells like blood. If I put a piece of white tissue onto his bottom, there is a slight smudge of blood. He is absolutely fine in himself, still eating, still enjoying walks. But the blood hasn't gone away. I'm due to see my vet soon, but I'm pretty worried.

Does anyone have any advice please?

Thanks
Aron

You need to take your dog to the vet immediately, not seek advice from a bunch of strangers on the Internet. Once you have, you may start a new thread to discuss the diagnosis.
