George is now 15 months old and seems to be filling out nicely... This dog is such a camera ham.. He will pose all day as long as he's getting attention, we can dress him up and do whatver we want with him.... Such a good dog !

I think ive told you before Nitrojedi but George has to be one of the best looking DDB ive ever seen.
I like the way he isnt overset and luggy but 100% pure muscle tone,i can see him being a real champion looking DDB when he is say 2,2 and a half years old. ;)

His eyes are awesome too, they really stare out at you!!

Thank you for the kind words !

Its not very often you end up with a stud like George when you rescue a dog... If you knew where he was from you'd even be more surpirsed... However I am happy with him in all aspects, he is the most loyal gentle dog I have ever owned... He is also by far the strongest most muscular dog I have ever owned, petting him is like petting a side of beef, he is rock hard and as solid as a brick..considering he is only 15 months old I would imagine he is going to be pretty beefy when he's full grown....

Lots of people love the way he looks, however there are not too many people willing to pet him...his yellow eyes and piercing stare seems to intimidate everyone so badly hardly anyone is willing to touch him.... He always has that grumpy look to him...... meanwhile he is just a 15 month old puppy wanting to play !!!!

I have been wanting to take him to the dog park, but I am afraid too many people would judge him wrongly without giving him a proper chance.....

Got Milk?

Your dog is just beautiful - I love his eyes. Very handsome dog.

Does he have a cut under his eye?
He just has runny eyes sometimes.... vet says its normal , so no worries.....

I love his eyes too...however I will admit when I first met him I found his stare rather spooky...George is one of those dogs who will stare you straight in the eyes, and with his features its hard not to be wary, as no matter he does he always looks angry !!! in the sunlight his eyes look like 2 gold disks, you cannot see any pupil at all, its really cool and almost cat like....

I'm assuming the picture of him looking pitiful on the couch is because you left and didn't take him with you! He is a very handsome dog. And I'm so proud of myself...I even know what DDB stands for! ;)
My wife Krista went out to get groceries and she didn't take him with her, so he was pouting ! George figures he should be part of everything you do....

He does have an intimidating look, but I've always been one that when I see a (large) dog that I admire, I will ask the owner about petting "it", is he friendly, does he like strangers, etc. Most times the answer is yes, I extend the top of my hand out to sniff and then pet. More times than not they are just big babies who are dying for attention. I would love to meet yours...he looks awesome. And he deserves to "get a big head" just for his looks alone.

You and your wife are very lucky. But I bet he's a good watch dog to...with a bark to go along with that look. Not sure the name George would go with it, but I love the name anyway. It seems to fit! :D

That is funny because that is exactly what I thought when I saw that picture.

Great pics! I love the one of him sitting so silly on the couch looking out the window too. :D

Thank you for the kind words... I am happy to see this forum is very Mastiff friendly, there seems to be some really gorgeous big dogs here..... George was originally name Cujo, but these days with a look like his and a name like Cujo I could see people judging both him and us.. So we decided George was a good name with a humorous twist... You see my family has a few George's , I have a uncle George, grandpa George, a brother George and my step dad named George..both my brother and my step dad are also redheads LOL.... So we figured George would be kind of funny !!!! Plus wifey liked the idea of " Hug Him and Squeeze him and call him George " LOL......... Yes its corney, but we got a laugh !

Unfortunately George sometimes malfunctions around new people and it causes people to be fearful of him..... George isn't a mean dog, but he is very cautious of new people and tends to show it in his body language.. For some reason george likes to stare at people directly in the eyes, yet when people stare back at him he will most times bark.. Now this isn't a mean or aggressive bark, at least I dont think it is , but rather the same bark he will use when I ask him to " speak" for food.. George actually likes attention but his body language and looks seems to deter most people of giving him a chance....And even people who already know him are still nervous because of the staring thing... George can't seem to help himself, he always stares into people's eyes, then he he barks at them if they hold contact with him...then 2 seconds later George is back looking for more pets....Its like George wants to make new friends, but hasn't learned the proper manners..He is extremely gentle and never shows any tendency to nip or snap, but its hard for people to trust him.. I think that yellow eyed stare spooks most people....... We do socialize him and he has made gigantic improvements, but he is still very distrusting of people...even if he is coming to them for pets, he is still always on gaurd and edgy...... He is trying tho !

George is absolutely stunning!! A real Hunk! You are so lucky to have gotten him, and him to have gotten you! I'm totally wowed by his pics! I've loved the Bordeoux's ever since Turner and Hooch. :)
I am very thankful we found george, he is a very unique and interesting dog....Thank you for you kind words.

He loves looking pathetic !!! and he's really good at it too

LoL That picture is a littel scarey, what's he doing?
He was chewing on a stick and had some debris stuck under his jowls, so I caught him as he was trying to expel it.... He makes tons of funny faces... most of them make him look like a gargoyle tho...
