I havent been on here in a while but i posted a while back about our new husky pup that we got.
Well I have an issue.
he has an appointment tomorrow to get fixed. Well this morning I woke up to find that he had mounted our italian greyhound, by the time I caught them it was too late I couldnt get either of them apart without hurting them. Our greyhound was never fixed because we never had the worry of her getting pregnant because our older husky was fixed when we got him. With our newer husky we thought we were doing the right thing and getting him fixed as soon as he was ready according to our vet. but obviously we are a day late.
I am aware of the possible health effect that having a large breed dog mate with a small breed dog. So I am wondering is there anything I can get from the vet to keep her from getting pregnant. like a morning after pill for dogs (I know it sounds funny but I am serious) Or am I going to have to get her in for an emergency spay. My vet is out of the office today so I am not sure what to do.
Any advice I could get would be wonderful.
