Best protein source??

Just trying to figure out what to feed our new Great Dane pup. What are your suggestions for the best proteins? Beef, Salmon, Chicken? Chicken seems to get pooh-pooh'd on some of the sites I've been looking at.

We will be doing a grain free and are looking at Acana and Taste of the Wild as options.

Chicken meal is generally the cheapest meal so maybe that's why it gets "pooh-pooh'd on" but I don't think a worse source of protein than the others.
