Since we have the worst advice thread going, I thought I would try to balance it out. Perhaps it will help drive some of the stupidity out of my brain!


Best advice: If you get frustrated while training, STOP TRAINING! Immediately! Don't go for one more rep! Walk away and regroup.

Don't believe everything you see on T.V. DO your research ... that goes for more than just dogs too!
And. " Are you sure you want a GSD ? you may want to think about that one" ... yes mom.

Choose a dog for temperament, not solely on looks.

(doesn't mean you don't have to like a dog's look :p)

A dog isn't less than human, he just is not a human - and should be trained keeping his natural behavioral patterns prioritized. It is important to provide psychologically and physically for a dog in every way, no matter how inconvenient this may be to you.
