When my poochon sophie was a pup she was trying on clothes at petco ( we were on vacation in portland ) when she all the sudden lifted her leg on a large shepherd type dog. I was HORRIFIED but the lady just laughed and got a towel to wipe off her dog. Sophie was kinda to cute to get mad at, she was a 9 week old ball of fluff at the time wearing a pink tutu dress and tiara !
batman! stop peeing in the pet store!
just under a week ago my wife and I adopted an adorable Japanese Chin named batman from the shelter. he has been very well-behaved and is a fairly quick learner.
we want him to be used to all social situations but know he is still settling into his new home and routine.
Because he has shown very little anxiety from the moment he walked into our house, and seems like he is adjusting exceptionally well we decided to slowly start introducing him to new things like having people over for dinner (which he did very well except for jumping a little at first, but quit after a few corrections).
well my wife took him to the pet store the other day to pick up some stuff for him. He tried to pee every time she stopped to look at anything, and the end of most aisles. She did a really good job of watching him and he only managed to pee once.
I'm guessing he was reacting to the many dog scents. has anyone else experienced this and what is the best way to handle this?
