Bandit was a very lucky pup today. :D A friend of mine invited me and Bandit over to celebrate the 13th birthday of her Husky girl, Nikki. I'm sure Willow would have loved to tag along, but she doesn't always play nicely with other girls.

Of course, Bandit was very happy to meet such a cute new friend, but he was his typical shy self at first. ;) By the end of the day, they were best buddies, and 13-year-old Nikki was absolutely running circles around Bandit! It was hilarious.

Beautiful Nikki... still going strong at 13:

We walked them together first, then went back to my friend's house to let them play in her fenced courtyard. At first Bandit kept his distance...

But it wasn't long before they started to play!

Nikki says, "How about a little kiss?" Bandit says, "Umm... but it's only our first date!"

Pretty soon they were playing just as hard as Willow and Bandit normally do. I can't believe how fast and strong Nikki is at her age!

Nikki doesn't seem her age at all - 13?

Bandit looks great as always... looks like he had fun! Glad to see more of your pictures! :D

Nikki is beautiful - does not look like a 13 year old dog at all. Of course Bandit looks sweet as ever. Nice to see them getting along.

I like your friends backyard with the stone vs grass. The one side of our house is a huge fenced in dog run with patio stone walkway - the grass around it is always dead looking - this looks like a really good option. No muddy feet either!
