I am growing very frustrated lately...my work is getting worse and worse because of all the rushing and trying to get things done, and having to go against my own style of realism and do all this...flowy stuff...I am very disturbed by how bad my art is getting and can't wait until the summer when I will be able to draw in piece and actually draw the way I want too........

WOW! You are so very talented. I don't know anything about art, so I'm not sure how to say this, but his face is so full of life. Just look at his eyes - I think this picture is amazing. He looks alive.

If I remember from your other posts, you are concentrating on muscular breeds for your classwork. I think you are talented enough that you could one day make a name for yourself doing dog portraits. Your work is a whole lot better than some I've seen advertised in my area or on the internet. Let me know if you ever start doing "fluffy" pups. :)

I just can't wait for the summer, a lot of people want me to draw their pups, which will not only help me relax and get back into my old groove of more realistic dogs, but give me some money to replenish my fading art supplies..

I don't want a lot of people in my town to know I'm drawing dogs because people are like, you can charge like 100-200 dollars..and I'm like...whoa...yeah if I was pro, but i'm just starting out, to me one of my 14x17 pictures if it turned out really, really good, maybe 40-50. That's still a lot, but I don't want to be "used" sort of. Techincally, if that was a real job, I'd be getting about 2 dollars an hour since I spend probably 25-40 hours on each piece if its a good piece..but im fine with that amount of money. That will buy my either a lot of charcoal pencils and new sketchbooks, or a lot of supplies for reptiles :D

But people say if I charge only 40-50 that I'm cheating myself, but in reality, I'm not, yeah I worked 30 hours on a piece, but it's fun, and it's good practise, im not trying to make a living here.

You've what Pep!!

That is amazing (all your work is)

I'll tell why its so good to me,theres a story behind it and you've captured it without knowing;)

Aslan has an obsession with squirrels,he'll never catch one but dont tell him that:D

When he was jumping up to the tree in that pic he had a fixation on the squirrel, his eyes go very intense and you've captured that to a tee!!

When i look at the picture you've drawn the eyes jump out at me because they look alive.

You are very, very talented and your probably just experiencing a block that will unblock any minute now:cool:

Bologna woman! You're a fantastic artist! Heck, if you feel a bit lost in inspiration, why don't you draw a picture of Pepper?

I think Pep's just experiencing a little frustration at working outside her elelment.

Pepper, Your drawing is Beautiful, I know it's not what you're style, but it's working just fine girl!!!! Maybe the drawing's just telling you it's "DONE" instead of at 95%.
