The Amish view dogs just as any other livestock that would be bought and sold. They do not see dogs as pets.

That is sick, especially about hammering things down the throats of the dogs. I never knew about this until now.

That is why I am very suspicious of rescue groups from the midwest. I was searching a website and seen fees up to $400. That is absolutely exorbitant, its makes me believe someone is profiting from these poor dogs. I can't stand it when people take advantage of altruistic intentions.
