This is my mutt/"kid" Callie. I say kid because she requires a lot of time & work...like most dogs(yes it's just a joke - relating a dog to a kid). Anyway, my sister found her in a park in Memphis with a note on her saying: "my owner doesn't want me anymore. take me in before i get hit & killed by a car. " I ended up taking her. She's about 3.5-4yrs old now, and she is such a great dog. She gets along with our 3 cats. They even play (gently)! Very smart etc. She definitely has the herding instinct. It's been quite apparent over the years.

I've heard a few things as to her breed, but the only one I can pretty much pick out is a Red Heeler. I know there's no positive way of knowing w/o doing a blood test, but I thought I'd try & get some suggestion from you smart folks :)

Here are some images:

That dog is definitely (I am so bold and full of myself) mostly cattle dog, if not all cattle dog and just poorly bred. Here, have a cattle dog.

That's a beautiful dog. She's what dogs would look like if left to their own devices - if they were allowed to go feral (which I'm not suggesting as a good idea.)

I have no idea, though. I've always had floppy-eared hounds and labs.

We have a couple of foo dogs that guard our yard. Maybe she's a foo dog.
