Hi Guys!

I'm very new and fresh to the pet grooming game and trying to get as much information as possible!

I have some questions around clippers.

From what I've narrowed down it looks like Andis or Wahl are the best brands to go with.

Which one should i pick? what are the pro's and con's of both?

I'm finding products hard to compare between the 2 brands any help with this would be great.

What would be:
1. the best clipper be for my first clipper to my grooming business?
2. Later on should i upgrade my clipper to something better? what clipper would that be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Both are good brands. The ones with interchangeable A5 blades are the heavier-duty professional ones. Beyond that, it's just a matter of deciding if you want corded or cordless.

My top 3 are Oster, Wahl and Andis. This comes from 35+ years of clipping horses. All my dogs are short coats.
I have a pair of cordless Wahl Chromado clippers, that I got my last 5 or so years of showing horses. I now use them to cut my husbands hair. Other than 1 new set of blades, they are still going strong after over 15 years.
