Hi everyone!

I have a nagging question!
My nan babysits for a family who have the cutest puppy called Leo! Please see pictures attached of the little guy. He is 9 weeks old.
They got the puppy from their friends whose dogs have just had their first litter.
I am interested in getting the same type of puppy as them but have no idea what breed it is. When my nan asked them, they say he is a Chihuahua but he doesn't look like the typical Chi. He has long soft hair and flopping down ears.
He may be crossed with another breed. I have no clue!
Please can you help identify what he may be as I need to know!
Please do not reply with suggestions like taking him to a vet to find out as that is not an option for me. It is not my dog to take. I don't converse with the owners as I don't get on with them (they used to be my boss)!
Asking my nan to speak to them on my behalf about the vets is useless as English is not my nan's nor my ex boss' first language. I won't understand anything!
Please help with suggestions on what Leo looks like. Either from previous experience of having owned a similar looking puppy or if you're a vet or dog enthusiast!
Leo is very small, has a long fluffy tail that goes straight up when he runs. He has a very flat back side! He is fawn coloured with a black mask. It is possible that he is part Chi as he is so little and has a sort of apple dome shaped head under all the soft fur!
Many thanks! :D

He honestly looks like a mutt, to me. Maybe a pomxchi, or something similar - but he also doesn't much look like he's all that tiny. Regardless, as a mutt: You're not going to find one just like him, even if the breeding was repeated. Best bet? Be on the look out for a pup who needs you and you like the look of.

I agree with that. This pup looks like one that came through my obedience class that was supposedly a mix between about 6 different toy breeds... They were just happy to call her a mutt :)
Thanks for the help guys. It could explain why I can't find another one quite like him lol! He is truly cute but I think I'll concentrate on finding a puppy that needs a good home now rather than trying to chase down the breed of the puppy in question! :)
Well, I don't know about there being any Chihuahua in him, I can't see it. And at 9 weeks, he's bigger than my 8 year old chihuahua.

Anyone else see pekingese?
I see Peke. Maybe Peke/Pom? Although he is pretty big--he honestly looks to be about 5-6 pounds already, so he's going to be fair sized if he really is only 9 weeks old.

He's cute anyway, and it would be interesting to see pics of him when he's older.
I see a Peke/Pom mix, don't see Chi, either
Peke-Pom-Chi-Chow? (Is that a language?)
Very cute no matter the mix!
=)
I also see Pom/Peke. Very cute little pup! :D
I also see Peke/Pom mix. If they are saying Chihuahua then I would have to guess Peke/Pom/Chi mix. So basically, a very cute mutt and you will never find another that looks like him lol
Since long haired chi's often resemble pomeranians, could be long haired chi and peke..
But he's so big! But I guess there are larger Chihuahuas and Pekes. IF he's really 9 weeks old in those pics, and the person holding him is a normal-sized adult, he's probably gonna be 20 pounds or so when grown.
