After Xmas we had more then a few people looking to re home dogs/puppies as expected.....then there was a wonderful add for "Dodson puppies for sale" 400$ each....now the latest and greatest...

"I have a pure breed poodle...looking for a pure breed Yorkie, jack russell, or any other cute small dog to breed to my female"


I want to sooooooo badly to email this person but since its work I can really afford too....if I knew her I would have a long talk with her about bybs

That's just full of fail... and massive irresponsibility!

I like to think that nothing surprises me anymore, but as I live and breathe, I still get taken aback regularly. It annoys me.

I am addicted to the PETS section of my local (okay, my state's) craigslist, but I have to stop reading it. It seems like for every one intelligent, meaningful post, there are 4-5 BYB/irresponsible/stupid posts either selling their BYB designer mutts or looking for a "stud" for their "bitch" to make more BYB designer mutts.

I don't see why you couldn't email this person and nicely say something like, before you breed your dog I think you should be aware of how expensive and dangerous it is (especially for the female). Then give them some information about it. You don't have to talk about bybers but maybe you can offer them some better incentives not to breed without sounding like the moral police.

I don't feel comfortable ....Mostly because its the Company's email system and its not really a good use of company time....I really don't want to take a chance of getting reported to HR.....If she had listed a private email address I would definitely have sent her something like what you said about the dangers and the amount of unwanted mix dogs in shelters

Well I just got back from a local Petland buying food...they had Pug/Boston Terrier pups for sale at $1400 each !!!! OMG who are they kidding LOL
