Well like everyone else on this site..i love dogs. i finally got my first dog ever last summer. I'v started to do some sled training with her..and learning from a musher in town...so at some point i might like to get another dog or two just to have my own small team. But i'm kind of hesitant(not that i'm in any hurry i cant afford it just yet)... i'm just sooooo attached to Maybe..that i'd feel bad if i don't love the other dog/dogs as much..or what if i like one of the other ones more than her??! :p ya this probably sounds pretty silly....

yup...those are my thoughts..

I have a favorite and I don't feel bad about it. I love them all and treat them all very good, so it's not a problem for me. Your own team sounds like a lot of fun!

Oh, I felt the same way when I was trying to decide whether to add a 2nd dog! Don't worry - I'm sure you will end up loving each dog equally, each for their own special reasons. I mean, there are times that I ADORE Willow's drive and enthusiasm, other times that I really, really prefer a laid-back afternoon of snuggling with Bandit!

And actually, you ARE allowed to have a favorite. :D Just so long as you love both dogs equally, there's no reason to deny that one of them might "click" with you more than the other.

:) hey thanks for your replys...
When i first posted this thread i'd been looking into buying a house and so money would have been better spent on items such as refidgerators and rennovations etc. than lets say on dogs and neutering and a dog sled.... however that all fell through so now the money is there.... it's going to be a busy summer so the soonest i'll be getting puppy/ies will be the fall-if i do indeed decide to.

I would like to get two male puppies, "pure bred sled dogs". from one of the local mushers
-MALE becasue then a) Maybe will still be my only Baby Girl and b) neutering is cheaper than spaying lol. c) i'v heard that dog fights most commenly occur between two females
-PUPPIES becasue well a)puppies are just so darn cute b) i could look into getting older dogs that are already trained for sledding, but my Dogs will be indoor/outdoor dogs and i'm just not sure how it would work to try and train dogs that are used to living a dog yard to behave at least somewhat properly in a house.
-TWO i know it would be a HUGE handfull to take on two puppies at the same time..but for the sake of only having to go through the puppy stages once....

thats my current idea....we'll see how things go...and any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!!
