I found some information about amber necklaces for dogs, that they are helping to avoid ticks and other bugs, so I wanted to ask did you know something about them or maybe someone are using them? :)

I honestly don't think ticks have anything against amber. . .

It's not even a rock, exactly! Just petrified tree sap. . .will fresh tree sap work, too? :p

Ticks are nasty beasts.

LOL I know. I guess I was too lazy to type petrified tree sap. Rock was shorter.

Fresh tree sap keeps ME away from the dogs. i don't like that stuff gettin on me. Can't say how well it works on ticks though.

Haha! Well, maybe it'll get them stuck so they can't bite. . .:p But amber isn't sticky so that excuse can't be used.

I have heard of amber necklaces helping teething babies, but I've never heard of them repelling ticks. Sorry :(

I'm pretty sure ticks aren't subject to the placebo effect.
