Hey guys,

Me and my girlfriend don't live together, but we just adopted two puppies that were found together on the side of the road in South Carolina. Since they already have a deep bond with each other, any time they see each other they go crazy and we cannot keep them in control. Even when I want to spend the night at her place and vice versa, we try to have the two dogs there together, but they are so excited to see each other all they want to do is play all night long and it gets quite tiring.

Does any body have any tips on how to have them co-exist without playing with each other throughout all hours of the night?

Crate train them! They shouldnt be left out all night anyway, to much stuff to hurt themselves. Also how much exercise do both get? How old are they?

They are crate trained. Is it OK to leave one of them in their crate over night alone? When theyre in their crates together in one room they go crazy because all they want to do is get out and play with each other.

Exercise is missing. Take them to a field and teach them to retreive a ball. Means you can stand still and throw the ball until they are both tirewd out.

Better exercise is swimming. A 10 minute swim is equal to a 5km walk.

Once they are tired they will tend to want to sleep and then play a bit when they wake up. They do need to be seperated in crates when you go to bed. They will get used too the idea and settle into a sort of schedule with you, but it takes a while so persevere.
