My dog is a very picky eater so it is hard to get him to eat dry food. Recently I've been adding warm water to the kibble and it has become more appealing to him, however, he will not eat all of it in one sitting. He'll eat maybe 40% of what's in the bowl and let the rest sit until he feels like eating again which could be a couple of hours. Is this too long of a period to let the watered kibble sit in the bowl possibly causing it to spoil?

A couple of hours.... no. Overnight is probably pushing it though.
