I'm curious as to what kind of abortion procedure can be done without spaying the dog. I know there's a shot that can be given, but it needs to be done within a week, I'm told. The OP made it sound like it was longer than that.

If you couldn't look after the pups earlier, what's changed now?

Anyway, a 6-year-old female is kind of old to be having her first litter. I wouldn't recommend it.
