Look at that face! She's adorable!

Do a search for separation anxiety. There are a lot of threads about it on this forum. SA can be mild or severe, but there are ways you help your new friend stay calm. One simple thing to do is not to make a thing out of leaving. Try varying your leaving routine (putting on shoes at a different time, grabbing your bags, but then walking around the house instead of going outside immediately) so she's not getting warning cues and getting increasingly anxious while you're still there. You can also leave, but come back in 30 seconds, then a minute, then 30 seconds, then 5 minutes, so she's not getting the idea that all leaving means long periods of time alone.

You can also make sure she has things to do while you're gone. Give her a stuffed kong or antlers to chew on. Provide her with puzzle toys to figure out. Make sure she gets plenty of exercise and lots of training. A mentally and physically tired dog is much less likely to get upset.

Good luck!
