Hallie's been on NV premade raw for a few weeks now. I wanted to give her something new so I bought some turkey necks. However, when I got home I realized they were lightly smoked. Are slightly smoked turkey necks bad? I'm wondering if I should just toss them or keep feeding them.

Thanks in advance!

I would not feed anything smoked or seasoned. Smoking causes the bones to harden. It's your call, that's just my opinion. My dog broke a tooth on a smoked cow bone so I am a little biased on all things smoked.

I guess it would depend how smoked. Infused with some smoke flavor but still raw? Maybe--but that would depend what kind of smoke flavoring they used. If it's smoked through (cooked), then, no, I wouldn't.

I wouldnt. Either way they are smoked, they will either be cooked or be cured. Chexk the sodium.. If its over 100g/4oz stay away.
