Hi all,

I have a 5 month old French Bulldog female puppy. She has taken to all her training and socialising really well. Is still a little apprehensive to go out but everyday getting a bit better. She loves meeting new people. My husband and I play with Feya a lot. She has allowed training and play time. Already knows how to sit.

I have a wondered about something she has been doing for a few days now and I would like to know if there is a reason for this happening. Feya tends to only nip at my husbands shorts. She doesn't even go for the ankles, just his shorts. She has never tried to nip me.

However on the other hand she responds to his calls quicker than she does mine.

Is there a reason why this is happening?

Thanks

Freya's mum.

Puppies like to bite things, and they like to play. There's really nothing more to it than that. His shorts look like a fun toy, and she probably enjoys his reaction when she grabs them.

Just something about shorts, most likely.
My dog always had a thing about jackets. His one life goal was to rip every coat and jacket I wore off and kill it. Something about me not having arms freaked him out Lol.

Probably the closest thing to a sibling's tail she can find :) She's made a game out of it. If your husband ignores it, she may not find it as fun anymore. That's what worked with Bella when she made a game of untying my shoes.

Thanks guys.. I really didn't expect it to be anything sinister and everything you have all mentioned sounds really spot on. It is not a bother, he just wondered why it was always him and not me. Hahaha! Thank you all for your time. love and slurps from Feya.

LOL - it may become a bother as Freya gets older. And trust me, it HURTS to be nipped on the back of the legs! And I wouldn't know this from experience, but may be very bad if pup goes for the shorts but grabs onto a more...umm...sensitive area of your hubby. ;)
