8 week old Maltese - training pads vs. outside

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this dog forum website! I have a new 8 week old Maltese puppy! It's very cold outside where I live right now which is unfortunate because I'd like her to be trained to go potty outside. I've tried three or four times in the past three days to have to go outside but she begins to shiver as soon as I get her on the grass and she begins to cry! I'm wondering how hard it will be to switch from training pads to outdoors when it gets warmer?? I'd probably feel a bit better about outside training if she wasnt so little right now (she's 2lbs).

Any advice would be great! Thank you everyone

It's not impossible to switch from pads to outside, especially at that age. Really, it doesn't matter. If she's that cold that quickly, you have to keep her indoors for right now.

Also, how can you not provide me with a picture of a tiny baby maltese?
If you're going to have her go inside, I would go with a litter box or one of those fake grass things. Once the weather warms up, you can have the litter box/grass thing outside until she gets used to going there, then remove it for the next winter or altogether.
