Hi guys new to forum I’ve just got my 8 week old pup home he’s very playful but I’ve noticed he seems very unstable on his legs the vet has gave him a clear bill of Heath and says he’s just to heavy for his legs but he seems to be falling over is this something I should be concerned about or is it normal for the breed also he is very tall

It is normal for 8 week old puppies in general to lack great coordination, like they might toddle around, trip over things, etc. But it is abnormal for them to just... fall over. I'd recommend seeking a second opinion from another vet.

Thanks for the reply
He walks fine it’s just like he’s drunk but compared to the rest of the litter he is 1/2 inch’s taller than them all he’s up for his second injection on the 22nd I’ll raise my concerns with him as you can see his legs and paws are big

trust your instincts, doesn't sound right. could be neurological or nutritional. is it just movements or do his joints have any buckling over? esp if he stood out from the rest of the litter movement wise that seems like a red flag honestly. being a little taller doesn't explain disjointed movements. I have a Great Dane puppy and while she had her clumsy moments this isnt normal as you describe it. how is he doing?
