7 month old pup is peeing when I leave the house

Hello,

I have a 7 month old Belgian malinois. Currently, when I leave him in his crate to go to work, about half the time I come home to him having peed inside his crate, and today I came home to him having completely destroyed the plastic floor to his kennel. He’s just started doing this a few weeks ago. As a really young pup, he never had this issue. He gets taken out 3 times a day for around 30 minutes at a time over the course of 8 hours or so. Outside of that he’s always out of the crate. I’d like to know what the issue is and how I can fix it, because I’m tired of my room smelling like pee. It doesn’t have to do with his bladder control, because at night he will sleep on my bed with me just fine with no bathroom issues. But when I leave him there for 2 or 3 hours, he pees everywhere. I try to give him toys and such in the box, but it doesn’t seem to help. Is this some sort of separation anxiety? Or am I not working him enough? He’s not neutered either, does that have anything to do with it? Thanks for the help!

You mention two or three hours, is this how long you is at work? Silly question, is there anyway you can work from home or possibly take the pup to the office with you...?
After 3 hours, he gets visited by a dog sitter, then another 3 or so hours later, I come him to let him out (my lunch break) and then 3 hours later the dog sitter comes back. Then I come home from work. And I can’t work from home, and I can bring him into the office maybe every Friday.
