Just had to share- our dogs have been on Costco's kirkland and done very well, but our Costco just started carrying Natures Domain grain free (Turkey and Sweet Potato)- 35 lbs for $29!

Just had to share- I normally don't make a big fuss about rice and barley (we do avoid corn and soy) but our regular Costco food is 40 lbs for $26 so this was hardly a price change.

I don't know if it means anything, but I've always noticed that the poorer quality dog foods (pedigree, old roy ect) are very light in color, and seem to get darker as the brand gets better- Iams is darker brown than that stuff, Costco's kirkland is darker than Iams, ect.

This food was much darker than our kirkland food (mixed in the end of our old bag to the new one) and also had a refreshing lack of scent- I remember when I was a kid even dry dog food smelled like DOG FOOD...this one was dark and didn't smell bad.

Just an observation. The dogs enjoyed it today but they enjoy everything edible :)

Salmonella isn't my problem specifically. My problem is how many recalls they've had and the awful report on their facility. It's neglect and laziness.
This is my issue exactly. I realize mistakes happen but too many mistakes with them and you're right about that report, pretty bad

This sounds great! I wish they made smaller bags, but I understand it's a bulk kind of store. Even though I have two dogs, they're small and I'd never use enough food before it went stale/bad. They each only eat 1/2 cup a day...
