Hi,
We just moved and our 30inch dog crate doesn't quite fit in the spot we want to put it, which is 24" x 29.5". Does anyone know of a brand of crate that would fit? 30" is the right size for the dog but it has to be a half inch shorter and can be wider.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
MapleNeil

How about getting a crate with a double door so it can go the other way around?
That's what we did, we just turned the crate around. It doesn't fill up the space, and it sticks out because its turned the wrong way, and we trip over it.

Does it need to be a wire crate? You could get a soft-sided one and maybe jam it in the space you have? I'm pretty sure they come in just the standard sizes.

How incredibly annoying!

You could buy a 24" tall wire exercise pen as they have 24" wide panels. You'd have 8 panels to work with, remove 4 for the sides then take off 2 more for top and bottom. That would make a 24" square pen that's nice and tall with 2 panels left to use as a pet gate. Use leash type clips you can buy at hardware stores so you can collapse it. If you found a 24" tall pen with a door that would be the way to go, Midwest has one.

Or buy a 30" tall pen and do the same but this time leave 4 panels together to make 2 long sides plus top and bottom then cut two to fit the 24" square sides and take the squares off the length of the 4 panels left together so it is less than 30". A door would drop down in this case. Might be a bit odd looking and you'd have to have a way to smooth the cut wires.

I never find exactly the right size either, lots of experience modifying stuff. If you get creative be sure the wire gauge works for your dog.
