I just found this on net and i just want to share this with you all :)

Ten Commandments of Pet Ownership
Ten Commandments of Pet Ownership - from a Pet's Point of View
1.My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful to me. Remember that before you take me home.
2.Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3.Place your trust in me - it's crucial to my well-being.
4.Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I have only you.
5.Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand words, I do understand your voice when it's speaking to me.
6.Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.
7.Remember before you hit me that I have teeth and could easily crush the bones of your hand, but I choose not to bite you.
8.Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, or I've been out in the sun too long.
9.Take care of me when I get old; you too will get old.
10.Go with me on the last journey. Never say "I can't bear to watch it," or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me

and some more I wrote for an english assignment years ago...

1: Thou shalt not hit your dog, unless the dog grows a hand and bitch slaps you first

2: Thou shalt not feed your dog food that you would not consider eating yourself (key word being "consider")

3:Thou shalt not forget to take your dog on a daily walk, unless you have a rare breed of legless dog, in which case you will be judged fairly

4: Thou shalt take your dog to puppy school, even if the trainers are a pain in the proverbial

5: Thou shalt admit that your dog is a cross bred and not a rare and until now, unknown breed....you're not fooling anyone

6: Thou shalt not judge others for crating...nuff said

7: Thou shalt not overestimate your dogs obedience, just because your dog comes when it's in the house, does not mean it will in the park

8: Thou shalt abide by leash laws, unless the law is deemed stupid and no one is around ;)

9: Thou shalt not overestimate their training abilities and buy a breed of dog that has a chequered history or known dominance issues, if you do and it fails, you will be shunned.

10: Thou shalt love and care for you dog properly, for the rest of its days and will not trade it in for a new one.

Great read anonymusneo! I got especially sad at #10. My GSD is just a pup and I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when she gets old and when her time is up :(:(
