Hi. We just got a great puppy from a pet store adoption event a week ago. He is very relaxed, seems to respond well to people and other animals, and be open to training. Other than "puppy play", I haven't seen him do anything aggressive in the week we've had him.
However, we just found out...
I heard the term over-handling when reading up on Anatolian Shepherds, a breed I am interested in, and I researched the definition, but all it came up with was examples of over-handling for training dogs to flush.
I can't particularly related to this analogy because I don't know a lot about...
I rescued him at 8 weeks from a shelter I volunteer at. He is now 5 months old and 48lbs.

Hi guys! I'm introducing myself all over again because it's been a while since I've been on the forum. I used to lurk a lot, but faded out with life. So... I'm Crisp from Providence and here's my pack! It's good to be back and poking around. :)

Hi! My name is Emily and these are my dogs :-)
Raksha is a 23 month old Anatolian Shepherd.
Kyra is a 2 year old wolfdog.
Silver is a 7 year old Siberian Husky.
I look forward to talking to other dog-lovers :D
I've owned many dogs in the past but i'm looking at getting one for my new home. I want an energetic, playful, and affectionate dog that will also be a good guard dog. I have heard many good things about Anatolians but I'd like to hear from owners themselves. Thank You
