Healthy cat treats, easy on the stomach?

    Hi all,

I have a cat who has always had severe food sensitivities, even to wet canned foods. As it stands right now, he refuses to eat anything but absolute crap dry cat food, but I'm in the process of researching switching him to a raw or semi-raw diet.

In the meantime, though, I'm wondering if anyone can suggest some healthy treats for him that would be easy on the stomach? It's such a shame that every time I want to reward his good behavior, the poor guy gets sick from his kitty treats.

If it matters, he's 7 years old, neutered, and is very healthy other than his sensitive stomach.

    Thanks!

Bits of cooked, unseasoned meat might be your best bet. You could also make tiny balls of canned tuna (packed in water, low/no sodium).

that could bean option. if you can't make it yourself there is a brand called solos by dogs well I believe that makes freeze dried chicken and beef liver marketed toward dogs but its just the one ingredient and would be fine for cats.

PureBites makes freeze dried chicken, liver (beef or duck), and also freeze-dried whitefish. They have lines for both cats and dogs; the only difference is the ones for cats are already in small pieces.

The Orijen freeze-dried single-protein treats (NOT the regional line) could also work. They have 1-3 ingredients, but they are all meat ingredients from the same animal. E.g. the lamb treats have: lamb, lamb liver, and lamb tripe.
