I just have to say, this most recent episode is probably my FAVORITE episode of all seasons!

    Re: Game of Thrones

I don't follow the fandom too closely, but I'm sure other fans have noted that since the tv show is so far ahead of the books, the twists aren't QUITE as...twisted...as they are when George R.R. Martin is calling the shots. It's a little bit easier to predict what's going to happen. Although that was a nice cliffhanger at the end of the episode! Do we assume Jaime's armor is heavy enough that he's just going to keep sinking?

Prinna was asleep on the couch when we started watching this on Sunday, and the battle woke her up and clearly annoyed her, she finally got up and went to her crate, instead! I don't think it was any quieter in there, but she made her point!

I have noticed! But as far as I know GRRM is still involved in the production, so we may yet see something more twisted happen. Maybe we're just being lulled into a false sense of security.

    Re: Game of Thrones

DH was so sweet,, he wrote down notes for each episode to make sure he didn't leave anything out sharing with me what happen loll ol ... am sure it will come out on itunes in the near future ... have to say killing the Dragon not pleased with, kinda spoils it for me.. It's like killing the dog in the movie... not really interested in it after that...

Does anyone know who in the GOT is also characters in Harry Potter ... came across it on one of the GOT's Bios and then realized there were more when I went back to watch Harry Potter...

Apparently there are 14 of them, although some are VERY obscure: http://www.thisisinsider.com/actors-...thrones-2016-8

At least there are still two living dragons...although Viserion isn't really "dead" (wish that he was considering the alternative). I was pleased with the Sansa/Arya twist in the finale! ^_^

    Re: Game of Thrones

Oh god, the Sansa/Arya twist...Last week I was SO SURE that's the direction they were going, and then this week as I was watching I was so so nervous, right before Sansa said "Lord Baelish" I felt my heart drop because I was so scared that she was ACTUALLY accusing Arya! But then as soon as she said his name I was like YEEESSSSS.

I have one question. Why "Game of Thrones" is so popular? All of my peers talk about it. I see advertisment literally everywhere. I wonder if this series really deserves its popularity. Maybe I should start watching it?

    Re: Game of Thrones

I think it's popular because it has something for everyone; drama, fantasy/magic, interpersonal relationships, power struggles...one of these elements is appealing to most people. The show is a bit more accessible than the books, because there are EVEN MORE characters in the books, plus the language/style is a little medieval for some. But there are some shocking twists, and everyone loves to be surprised.

I'm guessing from your display name that you watch Twin Peaks, and I do too! GoT may have twists and turns, but it's a LOT more straighforward than Twin Peaks. I've spent the last few Sundays watching the newest episode of both shows, and although GoT may leave you on a cliffhanger, it's a more instant gratification than Twin Peaks. You basically NEVER know if you'll get any gratification from Twin Peaks. I enjoy both shows, but I'm sure some would like one and not the other.

Yes, you're probably right. And yes, I like "Twin Peaks", especially first and second seasons The third one is too much surreal to my taste (and this ending... I couldn't make head or tail of it! And I read that Kyle MacLachlan couldn't either.) But still very good.
Isn't GoT a bit cheesy sometimes? I heard such opinions.
You really encouraged me to watch this series. Then I will be able to make up my own mind.
GoT seems to be noteworthy and really right up my street.

I hope you enjoy it DC.. I started watching a couple of seasons after it started, because my DH was going on and on an on. the series didn't sound like something I would be interested in.. war -fighting- stuff... just not me. But for him so i could better understand and share something he loved with him. I started catching up and watching it. I do love history type stores... and good twisty plots.. am glad DH introduced me to it.

Full season 7 released on itunes. it was a quick Binge watch to day. Enjoy'd it. always over too soon and just enough story line that leaves you wanting to know more... "long wait until next year" at least there will be closure..!!!!

    Now our Watch is Done

Last season seemed overly rushed and even thought they kept saying they spent a huge amount of money filming each episoide it really didn't feel like they did, seemed alot of it was back lot builds more then on location as before. Was so much more story to tell.......

How it ended for the TV series am satisfied if it was going to end that they ended it that way.

just waiting on the books now.... the only thing I have heard is that there is a sequel to book 2 in the works.. wonder if Martain doesn't have the ending he wants, that he needs to go back and invent history for it?

Thanks to everyone for sharing along in the Journey....

I expected the ending (at least most parts), but I feel like it was too rushed to really make sense. They needed at least a few more episodes to get that gradual buildup. I'm interested to see how the books tell the story, too.
