Hi and thank you for the nice visitor message you left about my rotties. I just love the breed. I have wanted one for years now, and at long last we got Rick. He was the cutest little bundle when we took him home. He is my Angel. He will be 3 yrs old in August. Last July we got Ziva. She will be a year old in May. She was also an adorable baby, and still is. We also have Casey, she is a terrier mix, who just turned 14 in March. We rescued her from the street when she was about 4 months old. She is the "pack leader" after my husband and I, or so she lets us think LOL. We also have a cat -Misty-she is also quite old 18. We have quite a group, but we wouldn't have it any other way. They made our house a home, and make us laugh at least once a day. Hope you enjoy the forum as much as I do.
Welcome to the forum. I have had Rottweilers for the past 34 years. I love the breed and can't seem to get enough of them. If I could afford it, I would have many more. I also was active in Rottweiler rescue for over 20 years and currently own 2 male Rottweilers Carsten and Oliver.
That is when we found Rigs a 3 year old rotti/lab cross.we met him once the took a couple days to discuss it because taking on a 120lbs dog was going to be something new for all of us. We then took him for a weekend and decided that maybe we weren't ready. Then the owner told us he was going to take him to the SPCA and i wasn't going to let that happen so we agreed to take him and find him a home. That happened last year and we still have him. I just became way too attached to give him away. We also have a cat named Jasmin.
Can't wait to hear everyone elses stories.
Introduction to me and my dogs!
Growing up in my family we always a had a dog so it was only natural that when i had a family of my own we got a dog who just happened to be a bichon shi-tzu puppy whom we named Kahlua. My daughter was only 7 months old when we got kahlua and because they grew up together they are the best of friends. we chose the breed because at the time we were living in the city with a smaller yard and just getting used to being parents. Kahlua is such an easy going dog but does have a bit of seperation anxiety so i guess it is a good thing i am a stay home mom. After moving to a small town with a huge backyard and having a new baby boy we decided to start looking for a large breed dog that was older and was already house broke and trained.
