  1. Fire my dog walker?

    General Dog Forum
Wow good thing you had the cameras. I walk a few dogs for extra cash, sometimes walks end up shorter due to an emergency or if its really hot out I shorten the walks (or in the case of one dog if her arthritis is acting up badly). I've never gone through people's things or lied about the time...

  3. Wellness Core Canned Food

    Other Pets
So, I have been feeding snickers Dave's canned cat food but I found out my work can get wellness (which means I would get a discount). I was thinking of switching her to the wellness core. She has been in remission from diabetes for years and once upon a time I had found a list of cat foods...
  4. Nash, Your are supposed to calm down with age!!!

    General Dog Forum
Nash (my approx 5 year old german shepherd) seems to be needing more exercise and stimulation instead of less. Aren't they supposed to chill out with age??? Just venting because I'm feeling inadequate at the moment.
  5. Your Future dog(s)

    General Dog Forum
Yep, I know lol. The hair thing is just like a dream, not a necessity lol. They are more the size I want though so I can give up one thing lol.

yeah, we had a few at the dog daycare I used to work at. Still nothing like how Nash can shed though lol. Honestly despite the hair I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with another GSD at some point, but I want a break from all the hair in between at least, and kind of want a dog a little...
  7. help! shedding!

    Dog Grooming Forum
Bath her frequently and when you do use a zoom groom brush to scrub her with. Thats what I do with my german shepherd. I also take him outside and comb him out with a greyhound comb just about everyday. I find that it works better than a slicker brush to get out the loose undercoat.
  8. Your Future dog(s)

    General Dog Forum
Hopefully my dogs will just live as long as me, but knowing that is not a real possibility I do sometimes think about what I want in the future dog-wise. I want either a pit bull or an Australian cattle dog. I think I only want one dog at a time after these two as well. I love them both...
  9. When Does an Adult become a Senior?

    General Dog Forum
My childhood dog, Lucky, lived to be 19, she was a 30 pound mix. She didn't act old until the last few years of her life.

Yes, exactly! (Lloyd is 6 now, freaking out lol)
  11. Anyone else see this happening?

I eat mostly prepared foods, mostly because I am lazy, but also because I don't really know how to cook. I do eat fresh veggies everyday though. Part of me being lazy is that its really easy to just eat a salad lol.

Get my PhD in Sociology. Finally went back to school after dropping out of highschool 10 years ago and I am finding I LOVE sociology. Once I get my PhD and have a career started I want to start a home for lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer youth who have been kicked out of their homes for their...
  14. Yorkie Coat care

    Dog Grooming Forum
I was doing some reading . . . I guess yorkies are supposed to have a silky coat? His is pretty wirey, but not as much as like a westie or a cairn. I guess I'm wondering if having him shaved will make him end up looking like older ones I have seen that have ugly sparse coats that curl.
  15. Yorkie Coat care

    Dog Grooming Forum
What is the proper way to maintain a yorkie's coat? His coat seems pretty wirey to me, so I didn't know if you are supposed clip it or not? My sister got a yorkie, turns out her apartment complex doesn't allow dogs so the pup is staying with us until she gets a new place. He is pretty scruffy...
