How can I stop my Husky from whining on walks when she’s not near my other dog?
It’s always a pain to take her on walks because if she’s not directly next to or in front of my American Eskimo she will freak out. She’ll start whining and pulling on the leash until she’s next to her again. We’ve tried walking them separately but when it’s time to walk the American Eskimo and leave the Husky, she’d still whine and scratch at the door until we get back home. Seems like she’s just extra attached to the Eskimo. Any suggestions?
Even when not at home she ALWAYS wants to be next to the Eskimo. To the point of putting toys on her head and biting on her neck.
The Husky is maybe about 6 months old while the Eskimo is about 2 years now.

It sounds like the dogs are really bonded. The husky could have a bit of separation anxiety. I would consider the possibility of littermate syndrome too, even though they are over a year apart. My 2 dogs are just under 2 years apart and the younger one definitely bonded to the older one as if she were his littermate.
