Why do they choose my couch instead of going outside?
I have two mini schnauzers that don't know they are dogs, very spoiled, very loved. The problem- they get even with us when we leave for work or step out for a couple hours after work. And when I say get even, they decide to lift their legs. Anything from my leather couch, to the kitchen cabinets. I have bleached, disinfected and cleaned to get the scent/stains off. I have no idea which one is doing it. All I have to do notice a spot and look at them and one of them cowards down and either runs outside or hides under the bed shaking. I feel so bad, now I am at the point where I have be discreet and clean the spot or he runs and hides. It makes me feel horrible! When this first started happening I admit that I would rub noses in it and bring them outside and tell them to potty outside. I would stay outside with them until they did so- then reward them with a good boy. I don't feel like I am getting anywhere with them and am beyond frusterated. They have a doggy door, why do they choose my couch instead of the million bushes outside???
