    Foggy morning walk

I got off work at 6am today (I'm normally a day baker, but this week I'm showing our new night baker the ropes), and it was lovely and cool and foggy, so I decided to take the dogs for a walk around town.

First stop was to check on the fox family. I saw one kit (now nearly the size of her parents!), but she ran away before I could snap a picture. Got one of her dad, though:

Then it was down to the waterfront. Crystal posed (reluctantly) next to a boat:

    Casper prefers the rocks.

The fog and wet grass made Crystal very damp!

    Pretty puppies.

    We saw a kitty!

    And some herons:

And an osprey near its nest! I got a short video of it flying around, but then my battery died and I didn't have my spare with me, alas.

Also, someone needs to invent an "invisible" leash that doesn't show up in pictures. I couldn't take the leashes off today because we were never far from a main road.

Your town looks fun to walk your dogs in. I'd love to walk my dogs on a beach or some kind of water front, I think they'd love it!

They are so beautiful, and you have such a lovely area to walk in! Is PEI big or small? I mean is it an island where everyone would have the same types of places to walk in, or are there inland areas far from the water? If so, you're extra lucky to live so close to the water.

Your dogs are beautiful. And you always have such wonderful pictures, I greatly enjoy looking at them. I'm so jealous! I wish I had a place around here with water or a beach where I could take my dogs. They'd love it.

PEI's small, but not tiny. It has a population of 141,000 and is around 2200 square miles. I think it takes around three and a half hours to drive from tip to tip. There are inland areas, but both cities have waterfronts, and you're never far from water no matter where you are because of the island's shape.
