So every time I get an email notification about a subscribed posting they come in multiples. It seems like for every time someone posts I get around five emails for that one post. What's going on here???

I was getting repeat email notifications.. not sure if I am now or not as I haven't been active enough in the forum to be getting the notifications..
I turned all notifications off, (email and subscribed threads) except private messages. I check the new posts daily, so I don't need to be notified of anything.

We're investigating the issue to see if it is a widespread issue.
I'm also having this problem. I'm getting anywhere from 2 - 5 or 6 e-mails from the same notification.

Yes, I just signed up today, and received about 20 messages, all the same.
Me too and they are about 2-3 days late when they come.
I haven't had any problems, but I cancelled email notifications a while back. I only get emails for threads I subscribed to a long time ago that are resurrected and I haven't gotten any weird number of emails. Hope this helps with figuring out what's causing the issue.
I'm subscribed to daily digests for each thread, and I've been getting doubles sometimes, but not all of the time, and not for every thread.
This is a big issue for me. Usually when I check my email I have to paw through all the notifications to see if anyone emailed me. A lot of the notifications are WAY late and they either don't cover every post or send multiple emails for one post on the subscribed topic.

I'm having the issue as well... 5-10 duplicate notifications for threads I'm subscribed to.
I honestly don't understand why anyone wants email notifications. I only do that if I think a thread is about to blow up and I want an immediate notfication when somebody posts to it. I've never gotten multiple emails and there has been a minimal delay.
My suggestion is to shut off email notifications altogether. Going forward, when you're on Dogforums, click on Quicklinks and then Subscribed Threads to see what threads that you have posted to have any new activity since you last viewed the thread.
Threads that you have already subscribed to for email notifications will continue to send emails unless you go into that Subscribed Thread link under Quicklinks, check the previous subscriptions and either delete the subscription or select Notify through control panel only. Options are on the lower right of the subscription page.
It's a lot simpler to do it than to explain it.
I do not have time to "hang out" on the forum, so I have subscribed to my posts so that I can visit when there is a reply, instead of having to come back every day and try to dig up the posts and see if there is a response.

Yes, it would be nice if lots of things worked like they should, but I was merely offering an alternative to those who are frustrated with the email notifications.
