Rest In Peace Bruce my forever Puppy

Two years ago we brought home the cutest yellow lab puppy. A few months after we got him, he was diagnosed with a liver shunt and was dying. We took him to tufts animal hospital and they treated him with medicine until he was big enough to have surgery. He weighed 12lbs at 4 months. After the surgery he did well and started growing and thriving. He would have a set back every now and then but with a combination of meds and special food his prognosis was good. This winter he began has issues again and in March we found out he had end stage kidney disease. He lasted 3 weeks after that diagnosis before we had to put him down. It has been a little over a month and we are still heart broken. He was by far the best dog we ever had, just a sweet little love. Because of his health issues he only weighed about 45lbs so he looked like a puppy even though he was 2 years old. Even though his time came too fast, I am happy he is no longer suffering.
